Elleke Boehmer's The Shouting in the Dark and Other Southern Writings
Emma Parker interviews Elleke Boehmer about her award-winning novel The Shouting in the Dark (2015) discussing the novel’s extended 2019 edition, which includes four short autobiographical sketches and a further author interview. In it Boehmer describes the novel's setting in apartheid South Africa and discusses the short life writings which accompany its most recent edition.
