A variant in some ordinary paper copies has the footnote on p. 12 misnumbered 16 (for 15); line 16, p. 4 reading "Godfry".
The fine paper issue, always with the correctly numbered footnote, was apparently intended to accompany Cooper's 1737 edition of the first epistle, issued with the general title 'The second book of the epistles of Horace' (Foxon P882).
The ornaments are those used by Henry Woodfall.
